Pets Do the Darndest Things!

Postby natasha » Wed Jul 14, 2010 7:31 am

I remember we had a pet thread in the old forum...and since SR52 got a new kitty, and Ivy (my doggie) makes me laugh every day - I thought it would be fun to have a place to post our pet pictures and tell funny stories about the things that they do! (Clyde included! ;) )

Today, I got a good chuckle! I walked out of the kitchen, only to see this vision sitting calmly in the hallway:

Great idea, natasha! Although we no longer can have pets, would love to see and hear about everyone elses! Little Ivy is such a cutie and looks so innocent!!

Flowers, trees, their blossoms don;
And through the blue heavens above us,
The very clouds move on.

LOL! I know! She is just sitting there like, I don't know how this happened :confusion-shrug: ...yet, she obviously was up to something to get entangled in that bag!

My mom's dog Zoe who passed away a year ago or two, used to run and grunt in her sleep lol  .

natasha, what a great thread! Like mllp88, I don't have any pets, either, but would love to see photos and hear about everyone else’s! (I do have a pup-nephew, though, so maybe I'll get a photo or story on here about him at some point.)

Great photos of Ivy!

Avid Reader, Ivy snores louder than a human sometimes...so, I can relate! :)

My2cents, you should definitely post pictures of your furry nephew here! I am sure we would all love to see him!

That is so funny about your dog snoring louder than a human. That would be something to hear and see lol.

I've had both dogs and cats the majority of my life. I have enjoyed them immensely. I currently have one cat, and she is a beautiful Russian Blue (mostly). She is very spoiled rotten, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I keep telling myself I'll have no more animals when one passes on, but somehow it doesn't work out that way.

This one is a rescue cat. I've had her 12 years, and I couldn't imagine not having her in my life. She has little things that she does that makes me laugh, and she very much has a routine. But I think cats are just that way.

I love all animals, with the exceptions of a few. Snakes are a definite no go, or reptiles of any kind. This can also be said for rodents, although there are people who do love these types of animals, and if this is what they like, I'm not against it.

My2cents...your "nephew" is adorable!! :)

Bluebirdinthesky...your cat sounds like it is such a nice pet. I have to agree with you about snakes and rodents...not favorites of mine either!

I guess it takes a certain type of person to own creatures such as those. :o

Thank you for the kind words. My kitty is so sweet and friendly :)

My brother is a snake/reptile collector...he loves them. He keeps huge rats frozen in the garage freezer to feed the snakes with. Sometimes he feeds them live mice. It's disgusting. By the way, my brother is basically 'normal' - LOL. He owns a gym, is a personal trainer, and a nutritionist. He just likes amphibians and reptilian, scaly animals. When we lived home, it was a nightmare for my mother when he insisted on keeping his 'pets' in the house. And his room stunk like a pet store. :?

My 2cents - your furry nephew looks adorable in that picture!!! Thanks for posting! Awww! :D

Bluebird - loved reading about your special kitty!

mllp88 and natasha…thanks! I think he’s pretty adorable myself! Awwww….I love my furry little nephew!! He’s very sweet and friendly. :animals-dog:

I used to catch snakes when I was younger and keep them for a little while. I also had newts and a frog :animals-frog: at one point.
My brother once brought home a hamster, :animals-gerbil: which I wound up taking care of and found several "surprises" in the cage not long after...turns out she was pregnant! :o

I have no problem with snakes, mice, etc., but you'll know it if any kind of bug is near me!! :scared-yipes: LOL!
