Looking for episodes

Postby leahblash » Fri Jan 20, 2012 12:46 pm

Does anyone know if there was a particular episode when Ben and Cindy got married? I just saw (on you tube) a "Walton" made for tv movie when Erin got married. There also was a movie when Mary Ellen got married (the 2nd time). Also, what is the name of the episode when Mary Ellen meets Jonesy? The movies were really good except they don't explain things like how did Virginia die?(Ben and Cindy's baby). Also, where is John Curtis?

I think I might be able to answer your questions, leahblash. First of all, Ben and Cindy were married (eloped) in season 7. The episode is titled "The Outsider." Mary Ellen and Jonesy met in season 9. The name of that episode is "The Whirlwind."
As for how Virginia died, we never hear an explanation for that. Cindy talks to Erin about how it has been 2 yrs since Virginia's death but never mentions the circumstances of her death.
John Curtis was never mentioned in the later episodes when Mary Ellen and Jonesy were married having a boy and girl of their own. At least, I can't remember anything about it...especially since I have always wondered the same thing.
Hope this is a help! :)

I'm looking for the episode "The Ghost Story". It's listed on this site as episode 47, season 2. I watch The Waltons on Hallmark everyday and have not seen this episode. Would love for Hallmark to start this series at season 1, episode 1 as they originally aired. Is this possible?

I know that GMC and INSP won't show "Ghost Story". They deem it to be inappropriate because it dabbles with the ouija board and supposedly supernatural.

I meant to respond to mllp about John Curtis being MIA in the movie as well. I have heard various things like they wanted to limit the number of actors due to budget restraints, etc., but they could have at least verbally explained the absence. He would have been the right age to be in college somewhere and not able to get home or in the military stationed somewhere else or for a real twist, they could have said he was in Florida with his biological father. Now THAT would have been a story line!

Thanks for the info on John Curtis, Virginia Girl. I never heard what the reason was for not at least mentioning him (as you said) in the later movies. Putting him in Florida with Curt would have been a great idea!

Is it possible to purchase an episode? I would like to buy 10 copies of "Day of Infamy" (#162) to give to my grandchildren.
