Just wanted to share this cartoon that I saw in the paper today....it just so happens that I was having hot chocolate and PIE when I was reading it! lol!

This is so true, My2cents...my hubby had pumpkin pie for breakfast this morning!!

If you enjoyed the company you were with, I don't think it really matters whether or not you had turkey. What did you end up making?

We made bratwurst and wieners with tater tots, potato salad, and chocolate cake. We also got our Christmas tree put up.

Mmmmm...potato salad! I haven't had that in awhile...

It was a good day. Since I did most of the cooking it was a long day because I also cleaned up afterwards.

Yes, all that cooking and cleaning can make for a long day, but I'm glad it was a good one for you and again, your turkey looked wonderful!

The plate of food was actually my brother's plate. You won't find any veggies on MY plate.

A neighbor had cooked 2 turkeys for her family's Turkey day dinner. But there were a lot of leftovers and since they didn't eat a lot of turkey throughout the year, she sent it over to us yesterday. HELLO...TURKEY HECK YEAH!

going to be with my 89 year old Granny, then will visit my Grandpas grave down the road from the now defunct farm, Granny used to cook like crazy, she cant anymore,but just going to be physically with her is all she wants, i used to get to see my grandparents everyday but had to move down to the bay area for work, happy holidays everyone and try not to feel guilty for something you wish you could do but cant
