Lucinda Rocks!

Omigosh, I can't wait to try all her recipes! She makes everything look so scrumptious. Everything she cooks is so family friendly...none of that exotic stuff you see on other cooking shows. Plus, she has such a warm and friendly persona.

Lucinda's a star! She ought to have her own show on the Food Network!

I agree! And, today we got an hour of Mad Hungry - nice move Hallmark. But, where did Everyday Food go? :naughty: There's really no need to air the Martha show twice.

I, too, was wondering what happened to Everyday Food. They had some great recipes on that show.

What's going on Hallmark?

Lucinda Is Great!

Postby newcook » Wed Nov 03, 2010 11:50 am

I absolutely love Mad Hungry. I am fairly new at cooking and Lucinda makes things I actually want to try. I think I have proclaimed her goodness to at least 15 people. The bagel with eggs and cheese is wonderful. My husband saw her making it and said, "let's have that for dinner." So we did. Great stuff. Also love how simple and filling everything is. Love the show.

Re; the comment about Lucinda should be on Food network... NO, I used to be a loyal FN & HGTV watcher but can't stand 99% of what they air now (much of it like reality TV, fake deadlines, stress & anger), their stars just self-promoting so they can hawk their junk. And about Everyday Food, it's on here in austin on our PBS, &I'm so glad Lucinda has her own show, because I can't stand the way EF is shot. Wide shot, extreme close up & back again. No midshots. They don't show the whole body shot of the person putting the item in the bowl. it's esp. bad when they shoot the young black host ( I don't know her name). Once I noticed how they shoot, I could hardly watch again, it's very distracting. I love Lucinda's show now, very informative, like the old Martha Stewart Show (that I still love the format of, way better than her new show). Our PBS used to have a show called Baking w/ the Male chef from EF, I loved that show but it's not anymore (here anyway). Wish Hallmark would pick that up... Lucinda's show is the best thing Hallmark channels done since they used to broadcast Northern Exposure reruns!

I really enjoy this show. I agree, wendyme, some of those shows on FN are now unwatchable, with the herky jerky camera angles, cutting away, etc. Sheesh. All I want to see is how the recipe is made in detail, not how "creative" the producer thinks he/she is, which isn't very. Doesn't work.

I love this show, and have become such a fan of hers! Even though I can't/won't eat most of what she cooks (cause it's mostly pork and cheese, and I can't eat pork, and I'm allergic to cheese), I still have so much fun watching her and have picked up tips for my cooking that I NEVER would have thought to do!

But it's such a shame that she's continually being bumped by Martha Stewart programming and now Martha Stewart affiliate (a.k.a. her daughter...) programming.

I truly think that Martha is totally jealous of Lucinda's rapid success and incredible popularity. And since Martha is the Producer of Lucinda's show, and I'm convinced has bought Hallmark Channel, she feels perfectly justified in CONSTANTLY removing time slots of Lucinda's show.

I love this show! I try to watch it every day. I wish they would have new episodes though. Hallmark Channel must be going to cancel Mad Hungry just like Martha as we haven't seen any new episodes since fall 2011. Please reconsider, Hallmark!
