PROGRAMMING SUGGESTIONS - Who's With Me?

Postby Henny11 » Tue Apr 05, 2011 9:23 pm

Soo happy 'Empty Nest' is back. I'm hoping Hallmark will also bring back the other 'Golden Girls' spinoff 'Nurses' -anyone remember that one? And of course, a weekend marathon of 'The Golden Palace' wouldn't hurt. And here's the shows I could do without OR with less of:
Cheers (Just a couple less...)
I Love Lucy (Same)
Mad Hungry (1 Episode a day would be just fine.)
Petkeeping (Same)
Martha Stewart (Same)
Waltons (Same)
Little House (Same)
Frasier & Who's the Boss can stay the same.
And the tradeoff is their films, no prob - then again, there is a Hallmark Movie Channel but whatever.
I'm creating a poll - I'm interested to see what else everyone here would be interested in seeing on 'Hallmark'.

I'd love to see one of my favorites from the late 80's, Dear John, starring Judd Hirsch as a high school teacher and recent divorcee who joins a divorce support group named the One-Two-One club. Hirsch won a Golden Globe for Best Actor for his portrayal of John Lacey. Those of you who watched the show may remember it aired right after Cheers on NBC's must-see-TV Thursday night line-up back in 88'-89'. I loved the dynamic on this show, with Hirsch playing the straight-man to the dim-witted yet egotistical gigalo Kirk Morris (played brilliantly by Jere Burns). I never missed an episode when it was on the air and I miss it so much! I've tried to find it on DVD to no avail! Please Hallmark Channel give us the opportunity to see this great show once again!

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE EPISODES OF THE GOLDEN PALACE, ITS A SHOW THAT I HAVE NOT SEEN IN A LONG TIME AND THINK IT WOULD BE GREAT TO PLAY THESE EPISODES ON HALLMARK CHANNEL! MAYBE TAKE AWAY SOME OF THE MARTHA STEWART SHOWS AND PLAY SOME GOLDEN PALACE!

The Golden Palace would be awesome to bring back!!! I would really like for the Hallmark Channel to start airing Mama's Family, and the Carol Burnett show would be so awesome!!!! They are both awesome 70's and 80's shows!!!! They belong on the Hallmark channel, because they are a "hallmark" of society in the US...

I never heard of The Golden Palace, but I too, would love to see The Carol Burnett Show again! However, I'm starting to wonder if there's some sort of Copyright issue with it because I have only seen commercials (infomercials) for purchasing the DVDs of the show, but as of yet, I haven't been able to find a channel that is airing the show. Which is a great shame!

Frazier is boring. And yes, less Martha! How about One Day At A Time with Valerie Bertinelli and Mackenzie Phillips? Remember that one? Haven't seen it on anywhere in over 20 years. Also , Too Close For Comfort with Ted Knight and even Rhoda, the Mary Tyler Moore spinoff. These have not been seen in ages. And here's another... Alice! Since it has been so long since they've aired these it will be like new shows to us. Anyone with ME???
