I really enjoy Thanksgiving! That's the only big holiday we get together and I cook a large meal and we watch episodes of Golden Girls! Then we put up our artificial tree!

I really don't have an exact favorite holiday. I do like Thanksgiving because although I have faced hardships, I do have a lot to be thankful for. Plus, I do like the fall weather. It's not too hot or too cold. Just right for me!

And of course, I like Christmas because it represents the birth of Christ. I am not crazy about the winter weather, but I can live with it.

I have two favorite holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our family has so much to be thankful for!! A family member has survived another year past when we were told they would live. We have always loved celebrating the birth of Christ. Many traditions and enjoyable activities :)

Christmas is my favorite holiday because it is the day that Jesus was born. It is also my favorite holiday because I love Christmas music and movies. I love having a Christmas tree and Christmas lights. I especially love going to my church's Christmas Eve service.
Whoever said you can't buy happiness forgot little puppies.

My favorite holiday is Halloween. It is just filled with magic and fun and of course, it is the start of the final holidays of the year. I love to give out candy on Halloween with my brother. We always dress up and try to make it fun for the children. Unfortunately, this Halloween was sort of a bust due to Sandy's weather mess. We only had 9 kids show up this year but we made sure they got a lot of candy for braving the cold and spitting rain in our area. I guess we'll make candy treat bags for our families this Thanksgiving and Christmas. We bought over $70.00 worth of candy for Halloween. Last year we had over 60 kids so we had a lot left this year.

My favorite holiday is Christmas -- always has been. Not because of getting gifts but because it is the celebration of the birth of Jesus. It's the time of perpetual hope, of giving to others and expecting nothing in return. I love the decorations, lights, beautiful trees, carols and Christmas Eve church service. Christmas doesn't end for me the day after. I like to live it year-round. The Hallmark Channel airs just the right movies -- not commercial ones, but ones filled with love and caring for family and friends and for those we don't know or who may not have the means to celebrate the season, and let's not forget those who were victims of Hurricane Sandy. This coming holiday season may not be happy for them so we shouldn't forget them -- we can do whatever we can to help them. That's what Christmas is all about.
